Global Commemoration Of October 7 Horror Broadcasts From Washington

The first anniversary of last year’s October 7 terrorist attack on Israel will be solemnly commemorated in Washington DC and streamed globally, offering testimony and reflections from various ethnic, religious and national perspectives.

Organized by renowned author Edwin Black and his team, this ‘OCTOBER 7 - The Global Commemoration’ will be broadcast live on Monday October 7 from the Rayburn Office Building of the U.S. House of Representatives. A recording will be made to which additional contributions and features will be made as a permanent record for the whole world to mark.

Speakers include Israel’s outspoken Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon, Jews News Syndicate CEO Alex Traiman and syndicated columnist Caroline Glick, famed legal scholar Nathan Lewin, Jerusalem Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, and Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations Vice-Chairman Malcolm Hoelein. The session will broadcast live speakers from the Rayburn Building or via Zoom or pre-recorded statement. There will be some 30 speakers in total. Each speaker will offer views based on collective decades of experience and thought about the Middle East and Israel’s security, which has only been further imperiled since the deadly attack.  Viewers can watch via Zoom by accessing a special link at RememberOct07.com on the day of the event.

This international event marks the one-year anniversary of the brutal Hamas attacks that shocked the world. Speakers will reflect on the rape, terror, murder, and atrocities committed against Israelis, particularly Jews, babies, women, and other innocents who had offered their friendship and goodwill. The discussion will also address the ongoing propaganda war, the rise in anti-Semitism globally, and the continued debate over Israel’s right to self defense. 

Although Israel's response initially garnered global support, Hamas and allies quickly turned the tide of public opinion, escalating tensions and attacks since then. Jewish communities have since faced growing hostility, with pro-Palestinian protests disrupting cities and campuses, leading to a rise in anti-Semitism, discrimination, vandalism, and violence.
