Biden's State Department Orchestrates Electoral Fraud In Central America
The State Department orchestrated an electoral fraud in concert with the leftist president's party and election officials. Sound familiar?
Guatemalan presidential transition conference, 2023.
At an October 3 White House House meeting, the Biden regime reminded us of 2020 and revealed what it will do in 2024 if we let it. The regime’s national security team, headed by Jake Sullivan and Juan Gonzalez, met with Guatemala’s President-elect Bernardo Arévalo and denounced “last week’s undemocratic efforts to undermine the will of the Guatemalan people, intimidate election authorities, and prevent the peaceful transition of power.”
That description is Orwellian, since there was no effort to undermine the will of the Guatemalan people. Rather, there was a legitimate criminal investigation of the election, and electoral authorities violated the law by resisting. The investigation is protecting the integrity of the election and is no impediment to a peaceful transition of power. In contrast, Biden regime surrogates are engaging in violence to impose the Biden agenda.
The Guatemalan Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) executed a court-ordered search warrant on the electoral authority (TSE) on September 30 and seized materials from the June 25 election. A State Department (DOS) October 1 press release condemned the action and threatened sanctions. Elevating this to the White House sends the message that it will use all its power to impose its lie.
The Biden regime knows the seized materials will confirm an electoral fraud the State Department managed with the TSE and Arévalo’s Semilla party. Article 251 of Guatemala’s electoral law states: “Electoral crimes and misdemeanors are governed by the Guatemalan criminal code.” Article 251 of Guatemala’s constitution assigns criminal prosecution to the PGO. The judge and the PGO acted within Guatemala’s laws, but they are an obstacle to the Biden regime’s agenda.
No poll gave Arévalo more than 3 percent before June 25, but he garnered 12 percent that day to finish second. Anomalies quickly began to surface. On July 1 the high court ordered a review of the electoral tally pursuant to an action filed by nine political parties, including the first-place finisher, which knew DOS would fix the runoff.
The TSE illegally ordered the electoral boards not to open the sealed electoral boxes containing the original tally sheets and ballots. It then reported to the court that it had complied with the review order. The court agreed despite video and other evidence demonstrating noncompliance, which suggests the magistrates were intimidated.
The PGO had been investigating Semilla’s registration since 2022 pursuant to a criminal complaint. In July a judge suspended the party based on evidence of 5,000 falsified signatures in Semilla’s registration, including 12 people registered after their deaths.
DOS called the Semilla suspension illegal and politically motivated despite knowing it resulted from an ongoing criminal process. The fraud count is now past 8,000, with almost 40 dead people supposedly registering as Semilla members. The case is pending in court.
The civic association Liga Pro-Patria has stated that personnel from DOS’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau (INL) met with TSE personnel leading up to the election. INL Assistant Secretary of State Todd Robinson served as US ambassador to Guatemala from 2014 to 2017.
Robinson is infamous for having acted as proconsul. When the Papal Nuncio denounced his illegal intervention, Robinson replied, “For me, sovereignty comes last.” Joe Biden and Robinson worked together to take over Guatemala’s justice system, which Robinson ran in a manner that predicted the weaponization of justice practiced by the Biden regime.
Robinson, obsessed with imposing his criminal socialism, appears to have led the fraud to impose his handpicked candidate Arévalo on Guatemala. His old friend Biden and his DOS comrades are fine with this imposition that will harm Guatemala and the United States.
The Biden regime purports to be the arbiter of the will of the Guatemalan people, but only a tiny minority of Guatemalans support its agenda. On October 3, DOS’s violent arm, guerrilla successors consisting of NGOs that have received USAID support, began blocking roads and the PGO office. We witnessed this intimidation in 2020 when the violent arm of the Democrats, Antifa and Black Lives Matter, rioted in our major cities.
State officials in several swing states openly violated state election laws in 2020 without courts examining the merits of the cases. This is what the Biden regime wants for Guatemala. A valiant public official, Prosecutor General Consuelo Porras, is standing up for law. This pits her against the corrupt, totalitarian Biden regime.
The Biden regime says it shares a vision with Arévalo, including democracy and addressing the root causes of illegal immigration. However, the Biden-Robinson record is the destruction of Guatemala that has pushed hundreds of thousands of migrants to the United States.
Semilla’s website refers to “odious inequalities generated by uncontrolled capitalism.” Juan Gonzalez called Guatemala’s wealthy class a “predatory elite” responsible for migration. In Colombia, with his comrade President Gustavo Petro—a former communist guerrilla—Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated “inequity” is a root cause of violence. These are totalitarians coming for our liberty.
The House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees are fighting Biden obstruction and demonization to investigate and expose weaponization of our government. However, the House Foreign Affairs Committee has so far supported weaponization against Guatemala. They must join the fight against tyranny and for liberty.
House Republicans are our hope for liberty and must not be distracted, as they were by the Kevin McCarthy vote. There are only two sides now: liberty and antiliberty. We need more awareness of, focus on, and resistance to the totalitarian threat the Biden regime represents. They plan to do to us what they are doing to Guatemala.
