Pope Francis Promotes Clinton Global Initiative And Its Agenda In New York City

In a September 18 post on X (formerly Twitter), Catholic archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano -- a former nuncio to the United States -- spoke to the influx of migrants currently being experienced in Europe.

Translated from the original Italian, Vigano wrote:

"The invasion of illegal immigrants is desired by the globalist elite with two purposes: the first is ethnic replacement in nations in order to erase their identity, traditions, and faith. The second is to feed the racket of slave traders and pseudo-welfare organizations that profit from the migratory phenomenon (both secular and ecclesiastical).

"The proof of the instrumentality of this invasion lies in the fact that the majority of illegal immigrants are Islamic or Hindu, and that they come from regions where there are no conflicts.

"Conversely, there is practically no humanitarian corridor to welcome refugees from states where there is civil war and where Christians are persecuted. In fact, if Europe welcomed Christian refugees, it would strengthen their presence and would not create any social conflict, while it wants to achieve the diametrically opposite aim.

"Let us not be surprised therefore that Bergoglio [Pope Francis] lends himself to the social engineering operations of globalism in matters of immigration, after having acted as testimonial for the experimental gene serums obtained with aborted fetuses."

Vigano's statement came on the day that Pope Francis is expected to address the 2023 meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative being held in New York City, September 18-19. Francis is expected to address several issues capturing headlines around the world. In a press release, the Clinton Global Initiative said there would be a videoconference featuring a "special conversation between President Clinton and His Holiness Pope Francis” via remote link.

CGI proclaimed that the conversation will focus on "the most pressing global challenges of our time,”  including “climate change, the refugee crisis, the welfare of children, and the mission and projects of the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital.” The latter is a pet project of the pontiff, who has often warmly spoken of the medical facility, having visited it several times. 

Prominent Americans, including U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are expected to address the conference, as are Google President Ruth Porat. Other prominent persons include former British prime minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, and Ford Foundation CEO Darren Walker. Also on hand at the conference will be oft-rumored presidential contenders Governors Gavin Newsome (D-Calif.) and Gretchen Whitmore (D-Michigan). 

Clinton had a private audience with the pontiff in July. The contents of their discussions have not been shared with the press. Also meeting the pope at that time was Alex Soros, the 37-year-old son of plutocrat and foundation magnate George Soros.
